I found a mention of a will of Margaret Nevell in the Essex Archives https://www.essexarchivesonline.co.uk/result_details.aspx?DocID=165901

Her son John Whaples and daughter in law Mary are mentioned, along with their sons John, William, Thomas and Robert. So, you can add Nevell as Margaret's last name? (John Whaples' mother)...

Cites England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975 - familysearch.org: Margaret Nevell christened 10 Oct 1578 in Romaldkirk, Yorkshire, England, daughter of Gregory Nevell. [Note: During her life she would have traveled nearly 300 miles south-south-east to Great Waltham, Essex. This might not be the same Margaret Nevell ...?]
