    I have been looking for these families in the online censuses and found most of them. It appears quite a few of them left Luzerne Co, PA and relocated to Lawrence Co, IL. Other Luzerne Co, PA families relocated there as well -- Saum, Vandermark, Belles, Arnold. I even find some Hamptons there but I'm not sure what (if any) is their possible relation to Elizabeth Jane Sims Hampton or Polly Sims Hampton.

    I believe I have also found what may have been Daniel Sims/Simms and Sarah (Whipple) Sims also living in Lawrence Co, IL in the 1860 census. I don't find them after that and believe that possibly they may have died there. I am going to see about finding a possible death cert for either of them. Online searches of cemetery listings may be helpful in that regard. And then see if either of them (both of them?) may have had any probate papers which may be found in the courthouse in Lawrence Co, IL. These could be very helpful if they specifically mentioned my Elizabeth Jane Sims Hampton along with the other supposed siblings I am noting below. I used the old family history information that was provided to me by my grandmother and was written many years ago by her uncle, Clyde Baker.

    'Mrs. Nancy A Stair Dies

    'Mrs. Nancy A. Stair, 71, well known and esteemed resident of this city, died suddenly at her home, 28 Beach street, shortly before 12 on Monday night of comlications. She was born in Illinois, but resided for the greater part of her life in Stairville and this city. She was a member of Grove Street Evangelical church.

    'Surviving are the following children, Marvin, Earl, Monroe and Edward of this city, Mrs. Frank Kichner of Wanamie, Mildred Stair of Lehman, and her brother and sisters, Mrs. W.L. Seigel and Simon Sims of this city and Mrs. Edward Whitebread of Slocum. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

    'The funeral be held on Friday afternoon at 2 pm with interment atRippletown cemetary, near Albert.'"

    Craig also cites the 1930 census, which "shows a Nancy Stair, age 70, living on Beech Street in Wilkes-Barre, with a son Monroe, next the residence of Edward Stair, his wife Lorraine, and son Norman. The enumeration was done on April 3, 1930, so the death would have been 1930, bef 21 Aug but after 3 Apr.
