According to Norma, "E. Richardson, the author, said, 'I have taken the trouble to arrange the names alphabetically. But their original order may be
restored by arranging them according to the numbers which prefix their names; and perhaps, by so doing, their dwelling places may be approximated; for, in my opinion, those who made out the list arranged the names according to their order upon the roads.' If we put the numbers in order, we have Eleazer, Eleazer Jr., Job, and James Whipple at numbers 15-17."
