I., January 8th, 1821. He has always been engaged in farming, and came to Putnam in 1841. His first wife was Mrs. Henry Hopkins, by whom he had two children: Mary, wife of Horace E. Hurlburt of Putnam, and Martha, died in infancy. By his second wife, Sarah Ann Page, he has one child, Hattie E.
