    • !SOURCE: Email from N. Combs to Weldon Whipple, 7 Jul 2006. Cites the New York Times:
      • Marion Whipple {101953}, daughter of Gen. William Denison Whipple {3555), married Charles Deering in 1883 (his 2nd wife). He was born in Paris, ME in 1852 and died Feb. 5, 1927 in Miami, FL at the age of 75. Surviving were his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Chauncy McCormick of Chicago and Mrs. Richard Ely Danielson of Boston, and a son, Roger Deering. Burial will be in Chicago, IL. (NYTimes 2/7/1927, 19)
      • Marion Whipple {101953 above} died Nov. 29, 1943 in Chicago, IL at the age of 86. She was born in Norristown, PA {abt 1857}. Her son Roger is deceased {died aft 1932}, but her two daughters Mrs. Chauncy McCormick and Mrs. Richard E. Danielson survive her. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Lt. Charles Deering McCormick and Lt. Richard Ely Danielson, Jr. of the Navy, Lt. John Deering Danielson of the British Army, Lt. Roger S. McCormick, Army Air Forces, Brooks McCormick, and Miss Marion Danielson. (NYTimes 12/1/1943, 21)
