Art.  His wife's name was Lois or Louisa, have seen it both ways.  Her cemetery stone gives name as Lois Whipple and she died in 1914."

Whipple died at the home of his son John at Bowens Corners, Granby Oswego  NY on Feb 10, 1882.  Robert  is buried in the old cemetery nearby (Merritt Cemetery at Bowens Corner).  He has a military stone inscribed R. T. Whipple, Co L., 16th NY H Art.   His wife Miranda is also buried there but she has but she does not have a stone."
