  !SOURCE: Email from Dr. David Lovett Jordan (email hidden), ggg grandson of Benjamin Lovett (1773-1853), to the Whipple Website, 15 Mar 2004. "Birth records of Dr Edwin A Young, W Glenville 1833-1845 show dau b to Jabish Lovett in 1841. This would perhaps be Mary E Lovett shown as age 10 in the 1850 Pavilion, NY census and dau of Jabish. Other children older than 11 would perhaps be children that Jabish had with Mary Norton of West Glenville. "Jabesh" Lovett buried a son and a wife in Brighton, NY in 1845 and 1846. This is almost for sure the same Jabish Lovett from W Glenville. In 1850, Jabish is married to Nancy, age 30, in Pavilion, NY. It appears that all his children were with him at that time. I can find no record of this family after 1853."
