!SOURCE: Birth date (28 may 1732) appears on "Whipple Family Bible Record," a page posted at http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgs/whipple_bible.htm by the Oklahoma Genealogical Society (and viewed by Weldon Whipple on 19 Mar 2003). The web page states:This Bible was published 1836 at Hartford, Connecticut, by R. White and Hutchison and D. Wier. Pasted on the inside of the back cover of this Bible is "This Bible was left to me by my mother, Mrs. Dorcas C. Mitchell who was a daughter of Vernon L. Olney and Louisa Olney, /S/ Mrs. Blanche Boswell." Mrs. Boswell died May 17. 1928, was buried May 28, 1928 at Thomas, Oklahoma beside her husband, Wm. C. Mitchell. The Bible was first "presented to Louisa Whipple by her father, Stephen Whipple, Jan.12, 1839."
This Bible record was copied in California by Magna Merle (Boswell) Williamson (Mrs. B.E.), mother of Jack Ellis Williamson, OGS member, Weatherford, Oklahoma.
