!SOURCE: Email from Rebecca Ott (email hidden) to the Whipple Website, 30 Mar 2008. Adds Samuel's approximate death date and place:One of the children of Sarah and Christopher is Samuel Whipple (b. Feb 7, 1773, J.N. Arnold) who died in Ira, Vermont between June 10, 1817 and Sept 8, 1817 (extracts of Rutland County probate records by Jenks, Roberts, & Hance). His wife Amy, son John and daughters Sarah and Eunice are named in the will. Two of the witnesses to the will are closely connected to Mehitable Baker Whipple. One is her son, Russel Baker, and another is the husband of her daughter, Juney Baker. This makes me conclude that my Christopher Whipple is the one who previously married Sarah Burlingame.
