    • !SOURCE: Find a Grave web site memorial 21932335, cited 19 Jun 2022. "Katharina Wippel, at age 11, arrived in America from Germany with her family in 1840. Her family had settled in Beaver County, Pennsylvania by 1850. She had an aunt living in Pomeroy and likely met, young cabinet maker; Nicholas Klein on a visit there. They wed 13 Oct 1850 and made Pomeroy Ohio their home. Katherina had two miscarriages and when her recently widowed sister; Barbara (Mrs. Jacob Neutzling) with several children to care for, ask for help Katherina & Nicholas were overjoyed to accept baby Mary to raise as their own. Nicholas Klein was appointed guardian of all the Neutzling children."
