  !SOURCE: Email from Marcia L. Briggs (email hidden) to the Whipple Website, 3 Feb 2016. She writes: Birthdate of Amy Jane Whipple can be verified through the will of her father, Anthony Whipple, who died in 1832 age 81. His will was written 25 Aug 1832. In his will, he leaves his estate, real and personal, to his wife Hannah, in lieu of her rights of dower. Upon reaching the age of 21, "which should happen 3 Feb 1845", the estate passes to daughter Amy and her heirs and assigns forever. That would make Amy's date of birth 3 Feb 1824. Anthony also mentions a son in his will but the name is unreadable. Upon reaching the age of 21, "which should happen 14 Jan 1851", the son will be given a cow or the value there of.
