    • !SOURCE: Email from Beverly H. to Weldon Whipple, 20 Jan 2016. She writes:
I have read a couple of bios of the Daniel Sr, wife  Betsey Sheldon,  in which the children are listed in which their son Daniel was of Perrysburg, NY. Prior to Daniel Sr being in Villenova, he was of various places as you probably know - Lodi - Herkimer, Litchfield etc.  One of those other places was a small town called Gerry in Chautauqua County NY also called Vermont settlement.  His name is recorded in the church records there indicating he left to go to Villenova.  At the same time, there was another settler in Gerry, a James Alverson.  James  was born in Vermont  1777 and married to Damaris Shepardson of  Guilford Vermont in 1806. They had children born in Halifax Vermont among them was a Charlotte Alverson b 1817 and a JamesJr b 1808.  I found a marriage record in the Alverson Genealogy indicating Charlotte married a Daniel Whipple and resided Perrysburg NY.  Also I found a letter for sale on a website written by  a James Alverson Jr of Vermont who is writing to his "brother" Daniel Whipple in NY in the 1830's.
