- NOTE: OK, this record has some issues. But it also says his wife is 'Mable'. I'm thinking A) Transcription issues, and B) I bet 'Mable' didn't really know her mother-in-law's middle name. At this point, Elizabeth has been dead for 25 years. She and George got married 03 Nov 1915 so she and Elizabeth may not have not known each other for very long. According to their marriage certificate it is a second marriage for both of them as well... To me, this is at least proof that George Wood's mom's middle name starts with an 'L'.
- Burial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=23386883&df=all& (Elizabeth, George and George McKay are all buried with the same headstone.)
- Middle name of Elizabeth's and George's son was from his WWI and WWII draft cards. I honestly think that having the middle name 'McKay' is kind of a dead giveaway of his mom's maiden name.
