Historical Collections of Ohio - History of Scioto County, Ohio, Howe, 1888 Bethuel's previous wife died 1809, leaving several children under five years of age. He moved with his second wife (Ruth) "to Ohio in 1814, where he purchased a farm in the spring of 1815. Ruth died a few months later 1n 1815 after five years of marriage. No known children of this marriage."
