Whipple Wilkins son of William H and Meribah (Whipple) Wilkins b Burlington, VT . He prepared for college in the schools of his city and ent University 1853 and remained two years. In 1858 he went to Sandusky Ohio and engaged in the transportation business one year, removed to Milwaukee Wisc 1859 and was in the grain elevator bus in company with angyus Smith until 1894 when he rem to Seattle and became identified with the Pacific Fir Co of which his son in law WA Collins was president and owner."
