!SOURCE: Email from Roger N. Whiting (email hidden) to the Whipple Website, 15 Aug 2015. He writes: "I am assisting my daughter-in-law who is a descendant of Washington Mowry, son of Philip Mowry and Ruth Inman. Philip was married first to Mary Paine, daughter of Benjamin Paine. Your website records suggest that Philip Mowry died after 1787 or so. My research has him in New York state, specifically at Utica, Oneida County, New York by 1788; and later living at Oxford, Chenango County, New York where he died in 1836."
