The remains of Mrs. Sarah A. Whipple, who died at Hillsdale, July 1st, were brought to Grayling and laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery July 4th. The services were conducted by Rev. V. J. Hufton.
Sarah A. Whipple was born September 17, 1837. She died at her home in Hillsdale July 1st. She was the widow of Col. Daniel Whipple, who died on Decoration day sixteen years ago.
The famiily was well known in Grayling, they having spent sixteen years as residents of this county.
Those who attended the funeral from outside the city were Mrs. George Teachout and husband, Mrs. Eva Holland and Frank L. Whipple of Hillsdale.
