!SOURCE: Columbia University Roll of Honor (http://www.warmemorial.columbia.edu/harry-augustus-young):
Harry Augustus Young died on February 6, 1899, in battle, near Manilla, in the Philippines, four years after he graduated from Columbia in Medicine. Young was a member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints and a nephew of the Mormon leader, Brigham Young. The LDS Church had been very divided about whether it was a good idea to send their men into battle, although eventually decided to allow members to enlist. Harry Augustus Young was among those choosing to enlist, and was killed in battle.

Cites Columbia University Roll of Honor (above), the Columbia University Quarterly (1902), and a plaque at Columbia University, erected 1902. She writes: "There is a lot of misinformation on the web, including serious genealogical sites.  Here are real facts and contemporaneous articles about Harry. He was the fiance of Anna Camilla Maeser, the grand-niece of my great-grandfather August Wilcken."
