      !WILL: "I Samuel Whipple now of Saint John's Parish in South Carolina, but formerly of Ashford in Connecticut, do make this my last Will and Testament. I do give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Elizabeth Whipple (if she has not been Married to another Man since I left her ten Years past) every thing I Possess of every kind of Property whatever, for and during her Life, then to go to the Heirs of her Body, but if she should be dead or Married again then every Property that I leave, shall go to and be equally divided between my Children. And I do hereby Appoint William Turpin of Charleston to be my Executor, and direct him to collect in what is due to me, and get my property all turn'd into Cash, and remit the same in the way that he shall think best to my Heirs. I recommend him to remit it to Rufus Watterman in Providence, if Watterman be living and to direct him to pay it to my Heirs.
