William R. Whipple and R. W. Whipple were early settlers in Michigan history. They built cabins and portions of their lives are documented in pioneer histories of Ingham county. Another pioneer family of the area, Henry Walker, settled near by. His son, Manley Walker, married R. W. Whipples older daughter Amarilla. Amarilla is my 87 mother in law's great grandmother. Her portrait is on her wall. She never new who this woman was until last year when I started doing some searching. She only new her as "grandma Whipple". We located these graves last spring in Dansville, but haven't located Amarilla's. I have learned that Amarilla re-married in the 1880's to Charles Rice-who was a stage coach driver at one point in his life. I still need to locate her grave.
